Savanna Sokolnicki (Soprano),  has many credits to her performing career including, most recently, joining the Arcady Opera program in Ontario, Canada as one of their emerging artists. 

 

Ms. Sokolnicki's performing resume is vast, including, the role of Mrs. Peachum in Threepenny Opera (Street Theatre Company) and her premier with the York Symphony Orchestra on their Holiday concert series. Last spring, Sokolnicki sang as the soprano soloist with the Belmont University Oratorio Chorus for their performance of the Brahms Requiem. Other performances include the role of Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera (UK Opera Theatre), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni - Opera Orvieto), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette - UK Opera Theatre), Lily (The Secret Garden - Eastman Opera Theatre), Freulein Schneider (Cabaret - Eastman Opera Theatre), Olga (The Merry Widow - Eastman Opera Theatre). Sokolnicki also recently presented two successful recitals; one focused on the German lieder surrounding the literary character of Gretchen from Goethe’s Faust as well as a chamber recital featuring the works of renowned Canadian composer John Greer.

Savanna's dissertation entitled, Gretchen's Soliloquy "Ach Neige Du Schmerzenreiche" from Goethe's Faust:  A vocal performance analysis and set of performance guidelines for various solo voice settings, was recently published by the University of Kentucky.  In 2010 Sokolnicki completed a Master’s Degree in vocal performance and literature at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester NY and completed her undergraduate work at Eastman in 2008, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance.
